After my own births, I have learned the importance of education and support in preparation for such a life-changing event, childbirth and parenting. Finding myself naturally helping others with pregnancy and parenting, I decided to take that interest even further and be able to reach more people. My hope is to allow families to figure out their own wishes for their personal experiences, and support them in what they decide.
I have a variety of trainings surrounding pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, all to enhance my support to families. I also has a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Sociology. With this extra knowledge, I am able to assist families and parents in their new transition.
I have also had experience outside of the United States, having lived in Mexico for 7 years where my first child was born. Working with the people there, I was able to understand the culture and is now bilingual in both English and Spanish, and is one of the few Spanish Speaking Doulas in the Bay Area. This experience allowed me to be open and understanding to people from different backgrounds and with different ideas.
I am a dedicated Christian and am currently living in Solano County where I grew up, with my husband and 6 children.
