Getting to know you
First impressions can have lasting effects. For that reason, I would like to introduce you to New Birth Services. Nurturing Empowering Women. That’s what this place is about. Nurturing women who are empowering themselves.
I can’t empower you.
No one can.
No one besides you that is.
Only you can reach down in your inner most being, find your fears, weaknesses, and hardships to face. Only you can take that strength that you have, whether it be small or big, and make it grow. Only you can decide to take that step.
That’s right. You. Because empowering takes action, and that can only be done by the one who needs it. If I speak for you, you are not speaking. If I tell you what to do, you are not deciding. If I act for you, you are not acting. In this, you are not becoming empowered.
You become empowered when you act!
For this reason. I can’t do it for you.
But I can help you!
There are a few ways that I can guide you to empowering yourself, but the first thing that you need is the desire, motivations, wish, push, or whatever you want to call it. Without that, everything that I do will mean nothing. Here are a few of the things that I will do to help you to empower yourself.
1. Provide you with options
There’s a saying that goes, “If you don’t know your options, you don’t have any.” As a trained and educated birth worker, I am able to provide you with information on many different birth and baby care topics. New Birth Services always tries to provide current, evidenced-based information, without judgement. This information is not forced on you though, but provided when you are willing to learn about them.
Knowing your options is only part of the process though. You need to take the next steps towards achieving them.
2. Help you figure out your wishes.
Many times, going through all of the information can be confusing, making it difficult to decide what is best for you and your situation. Thankfully, there are ways to work through the confusing mess to be able to figure out what you feel that you would like. Asking questions and writing things out are effective ways to achieve this. New Birth Services can help you to figure work through these steps.
3. Teach you ways of communicating your desires.
Once you have figured out what you would like, the next step is to communicate that with your care providers and your support team. This can be done through different ways, such as writing up a birth preferences sheet, to speaking to them. Know how to do this in an effective way can be essential to your experience and the care you receive.
4. Support you in what you want.
After you have figured out what you want, and communicated it, make sure you have a strong support team around you. Many times the team that is with you is can what make or break an experience. New Birth Services provides lasting support for you and your specific situation. Only you can know what is best for you and your baby.
New Birth Services is here for you. But this is only the surface. Only you can experience New Birth Services as you empower yourself.
